Heaven...There is no place like home

Christian Myspace Layouts

There is a beautiful place that all Christians should be wanting to go to and this place is called Heaven. We live on this earth for a short while but our final destination is Heaven. Heaven is what it is all about, my friends. Have you ever thought of what Heaven will look like. Heaven will be a beautiful place. Let me give you a glimpse of Heaven. Just image, if you will, of a beautiful day and you are by the stream sitting with your feet in the water, you see mountains, trees, flowers, etc. This is just a tiny glimpse of Heaven. Now, image that picture 100 times. This, my friend, is Heaven. Heaven will be beautiful and I can hardly wait to get there. There will be no sin, murder, death, sickness, unemployment (I like this since I am unemployed as of this time), no bills, just peace and quiet. There will be a BIG family reunion--the best family reunion you have ever been to. You will see relatives that have relocated to Heaven--I will see my own Mom that I have not seen since June 2007 and I have alot of catching up to do with Mom. I will see Mark, Matthew, Luke and John--I will finally get to seat with Jesus forever more and sing praises to His name. Wow, is all I can say. Praise the Lord!

What are your thoughts on Heaven...There is no place like home? I would love to hear from you, sisters and brothers.

Lord, I thank you that I will finally be with you in Heaven. If there is someone that does not know you Lord, I ask you to come into their heart. I thank you Jesus for this request. In Jesus name, Amen

Trusting in the Lord without a Job!

Christian Myspace Layouts

It has been 3 months since I lost my job. It has been a good week compared to some of the weeks I have had looking for a job. I have been praying to the Lord for some actual jobs to open up in Texas. I applied to 4 different companies this week and feel that the Lord has something for me soon. Of course, I always ask the Lord when will this season of unemployment end (my husband is also unemployed as well) for me. It says in the Bible that the Lord will provide so I am waiting on Him. The Lord will get me a job in His Timing. Sometimes, one forgets about this promise when the bills come due and there is no money in the bank account. I have to admit that I get frustrated when this happens. I remember a song that tells me to "trust in the Lord always..." I will continue on trusting in the Lord until that job finally comes.

Lord, I come to you this evening to ask that you help my husband and I to find jobs in your timing. Help us find some jobs that will provide for our family. Thank you for watching over my family and providing for what we need. Help me trust more in you, Lord for our next job. If there are any other brothers and sisters that have a job lost, I ask you to please help them as well. Help them trust more in you, Lord. I thank you for your promises in your word. In Jesus Name, Amen and Amen.

If there is any prayer requests or you would like to drop me a comment, please drop me a line at barbara.bodling@yahoo.com. Thank you and have a great evening.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love I Corinthians 13 Style

by Sharon Jaynes©

If I decorate my house perfectly with lovely plaid bows, strands of twinkling lights, and shiny glass balls, but do not show love to my family - I’m just another decorator.

If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing gourmet meals, and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime, but do not show love to my family - I’m just another cook.

If I work at the soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home, and give all that I have to charity, but do not show love to my family - It profits me nothing.

If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted snowflakes, attend a myriad of holiday parties, and sing in the choir’s contada but do not focus on Christ, I have missed the point.

Love stops the cooking to hug the child.

Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the husband.

Love is kind, though harried and tired.

Love doesn’t envy another home that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens.

Love doesn’t yell at the kids to get out of your way.

Love doesn’t give, only to those who are able to give in return, but rejoices in giving to those who can’t.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Love never fails. Video games will break; pearl necklaces will be lost; golf clubs will rust. But giving the gift of love will endure.
