Comes the Dawn

Comes the Dawn
After awhile you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean learning
And company doesn't mean security,
And you learn that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open,
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,
And learn to build your roads
On today because tomorrow's ground
Is too uncertain for plans, and futures have
A way of falling down in midflight.
After while you learn that even sunshine
Burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate
Your own soul, instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowers,
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong
And you really do have worth.

Marriage God's Way...

Marriage God's Way...The Only Way...

There is a thing in this dark world called a beautiful marriage designed by God that takes place between a husband and a wife. Robert and I have been married for 25 years in September 2006. It was not an easy time, sometimes we could not stand living in the same house and were ready to get a divorce. I have some suggestions for a happy Godly marriage that I would like to share with you. My suggestions are the following:

1. Make time for each other. I suggest that one have a date night, no kids, just you and him. Go to your favorite restaurant or for a walk. My husband and I had a date night recently and we were at a Italian restaurant that we never tried before. We happen to meet our Marriage Pastor and he asked my husband and myself if we were on a date night, we said of course. Of all people to meet in a restaurant, you meet your Marriage Pastor.

2. Keep the lines of communication open. It is really bad when you go to bed angry with your spouse--not a pretty picture at all. Always sit down and communicate on everything you do as a couple from finance to housework. Do not hide anything from your spouse.

3. Get involved in your hubby's hobbies, I never did get involved with my hubby activites at all, I was bored with his activities, one day, I decided to get involved in this thing called computers. It started little by little with just an email account and now it has evolved into a "Pretty in Pink" Woman's Ministry. He is my computer guy hubby for the site. He fixes my messups. Another thing we do is chat away on Yahoo Messenger on 2 separate accounts, Robert in one room and myself in another room, we have a great time chatting back and force, my kids just look at us like we are crazy, no, just in love.

4. Keep God in the center of your marriage, it sure makes your life is alittle easier, at least, you are on the same page. It is fun for both of you to work for the Lord. We had a Godless marriage for 12 years---it was terrible, lots of fights, no fun at all. We now have God in our marriage and it makes all the difference.

If you have any questions or concerns that I can help you in your marriage, please drop me an email at barbarabodling@yahoo.com. I would love to help you any time that I can.

Love, Hugs, and Blessings,

Barbara

Under the Influence of God

Under the Influence of God
Did you know that mountains move prayers? You probably never thought about that, did you? Well, it is true according to the Word of God. In Mark 11:22-23, it says "Have faith in God,' Jesus answered v23 I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that way he says will happen, it will be done for him." In other words, believe and receive the prayer now. Some people do not believe in prayer, okay, then why bother being a Christian. Just do everything on your own and see if you feel better, I tried it for many, many years, and I failed terribly; for example, in my marriage, home life, spiritual life and my physical life. When I came back to God, things were 100% better, I had God's Peace that "passes all understanding." I was lonely and had no friends to pray with or have fellowship with, Now, I had a lot of intimate friends that I do life together in this dark world. I have them all over the world, we pray for each other daily, I have people that call me day and night on my instant messenger when I am in the dumps, it is so easy to get way off course when you are drowning in your problems but when Christian Brothers and Sisters lift you up in prayer, wow, you will never be the same. I know, I am a changed person even when I am so depressed I could scream (finances is a good example, I am going thru this now but I am not giving up on God). I would like to give you some suggestions from Pastor Koke from Shoreline Christian Center in Austin, Texas. He was telling his congregation the following last Sunday, June 27, 2006:
1. Look in the direction of Your God, it is a matter of focus. When Peter walked on the water, he sometimes had his focus on other things. But when he had his attention on Jesus, Peter could walk on water. Our God is a big God, one should focus on miracles during our troubling times. You are just one miracle away from a breakthough, believe it and receive it.
2. Walk in the direction of life. It says in the Word of God, (Joshua 3:15-17) that "Now that Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water's edge v16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away in a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zanethan, while the water flowing down to the sea of Arabah (the Salt Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite of Jericho. v17 The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground." One must walk toward prayer in a random act of kindness (taking a sick person to a doctor appointment or cooking a hot meal for an elderly person in your neighborhood) or in the direction of your prayer.
3. Speak in the direction of your faith. Step toward the direction of your prayers and you just might see a financial breakthrough. You need a holy adventure and you just might influence the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You are probably thinking that I just do not want to do it right now, I do not have the time to pray, no, you have the time not to pray. Rejoice in the Midst of Tribulation, you have the Comfort and Wisdom of the Holy Spirit. My God gives me strength when life throws darts my way. Praise the Lord for all of His wonderful blessings.
If this message on prayer has been helpful or you need help in your prayer life, please drop me a email at barbarabodling@yahoo.com, I am here 24/7 to anyone that emails me.
Love, Hugs, and Blessings,
Barbara

My Prayer Request

Hey Prayer Warriors,
Good morning... my family and I need lots of prayer badly for all areas of our life, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially----the enemy is attacking big time on my family and I, it use to be so peaceful at our house, now it is a total battleground, I hate it, I just want to escape and this did last night at Shoreline Christian Center at their writer's network since I am interested in writing a book on my life. Thanks for all of your prayers, from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you and yours richly everyday.
In Him...By His Grace Alone...
Love, Hugs, and Blessings,
Barbara

Our Heavenly Trip Home

Our Heavenly Trip Home...

We, as Christian Women, are going to have a Heavenly Trip Home soon. What does this mean to you? Let me give you some thoughts this morning.

1. You are going to "be flying away" to Heaven. That means, by friend, that we are out of this world, we are going to a Heavenly World for eternally. This means we are not coming back to this dark world, we are only here temparily. But we need to get our life right, are you hearing me? We need to get our prayer life; as well as Spiritual Life, right. We also need to get our prayer life right, take time to get to know your Lord and Savior on a daily basis, not when we feel like it.
2. We also need to serve others, whether it may be our work place, our neighborhood, our church, at the grocery store, does not matter where you are. That is our purpose in life is all about----to spread the Good News of His Soon Returning so He can take His Kids Home---that is you and me, my friend. Just love on the Lord this morning and thank Him now that you are a Daughter of the Most High God.
If this message has been helpful or you need a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, I ask you to bow with me in prayer this moment.
Lord and Savior, I ask you to come into my friend's life right now so that they can a special relationship with you, they can have everlasting peace that only You can give. We repent of our sins right now, ask your forgiveness and truely repent, help us turn our life around 180 degrees to You, and not half hearted, help me want more of You, help me spread the Word of God to others and live the Godly Life, I thank You for all the blessings in my life, in your Son's Name, Amen.

If this message has been helpful, please email me at barbarabodling@yahoo.com or if I can help you in anyway, please write. I am always here.

Love, Hugs, and Blessings,

Barbara

You've Worth

You've Worth

Do not undermine worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Do not set your goals by what people deem important
Only you know what is best for you.
Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart
Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.
Do no let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.
Do not give up when you still have something to give
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
It is a fragile thread that binds us to each other.
Do not be afraid to encounter risk, it is by taking chances that we learn to be brave.
Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love
The fastest way to lose love is to hold onto it too tightly
In addition, the best way to keep love is to give it wings
Do not dismiss your dreams,
To be without dreams is to be without hope, to be without hope is to be without purpose
Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been,
but also where you are going
Life is not a race but a journey to be savored each step of the way.
So smile and let the Son shine through, for God is watching over you.
